This new moon is not just any ordinary new moon, this is a powerhouse of a new beginning. The past couple months I have been writing about this one foot in and one foot out of this new timeline we have all jumped into. When we moved through Pisces season, we were being faced with grieving what we need to let go of, and to lean into trusting the Universe and its’ plan for you. Throughout Aries season, we still had planets moving through Pisces; however, finally Mars and Mercury finally joined the show in Aries. The heat is rising (maybe not in Regina, SK lol!), but the energy is getting heated. Your likely feeling your own inner fire, getting glimpses of feeling excited, nervous, feisty, because you know there is something right around the corner for you.
Aries is the “new beginning”, the first sign and the baby of the zodiac. Full of passion and zest for life, and with the natural courage to just jump into things. So much so, that Aries is CLASSIC for starting projects and not finishing them. They are the sign that puts all its energy in one go, rather than focussing on consistency and longevity. It is because of this, that whatever you have been building in your mind and soul is about to finally have the opportunity to move forward.
Aries is associated with our individual identity, being the ruler of the 1st house of identity. This means all these planets (which by the way, there hasn’t been this many planets in Aries in over 200 years) which are now in Aries are pushing us to redefine our identity in whatever house they are happening in in your birth chart! We are likely going to be more outspoken, impulsive, and high energy in those areas.
Chiron, the wounded healer, is conjunct this new moon in Aries. As Chiron is about to move into Taurus (briefly) after its longgg transit through Aries, there will likely been themes around what wounds you have been working on in your area of your chart. While Chiron has been going through Aries, we have been forced to face our deepest wounds in how we assert ourselves and stand up for what we want. Aries can lean towards being a selfish sign, but mainly because it is the first sign of the zodiac (it just doesn’t know any better). It has no fear in taking action, speaking its mind, and defending itself. Wherever this placement is happening in your chart, it is time to stand up for yourself in whatever theme that is showing up for you. Make sure you take time during this new moon to acknowledge how far you have come with strengthening your identity and developing courage for yourself over these past few years. Lean into it, because you are going to need it moving forward.
The last time this many planets was in Aries was in 1821 — which contained pivotal global shifts like the Greek War of Independence and the end of the Spanish rule in Mexico and Central America. Because Mars and Mercury are conjunct the Saturn and Neptune conjunction in Aries, this new moon is going to highlight what these two major planets are going to bring us over the next couple of years. The last time Saturn and Neptune was conjunct in Aries at 0 degrees, was thousands of years ago!! We have literally jumped into a brand new timeline for us Earth goers, and with that there is going to be plenty of destruction and rebirth happening simultaneously. This new moon literally births in this new era. And you are going to need your inner warrior acknowledged and healed.
The saving grace of all this Aries energy is (weirdly enough) Saturn. Because Saturn is slow, consistent, and by the rules, its’ presence in Aries (for the next 2.5 years) is helping to channel this intense and fiery energy in a direction and spread out its fire over time. For anybody with an Aries Sun, Moon, or Rising, you are being challenged for your maturity and the more you follow through with your plans and be steady/consistent, you will reach incredible milestones in the next couple of years.

1st house – your emerging as an entire new identity, one that is self sufficient, action orientated, fearless, and motivated. You are about to become someone who takes no shit, speaks your mind, and moves forward without hesitation. Shadow to watch for is becoming over-self focussed and unnecessarily aggressive. To work with the shadow, channel your motivation into something your passionate about.
2nd house – your income, self worth, and material possessions and how you relate to them are about to change. You will have the courage to make that jump forward and attract what you want. The shadow side of this placement is spending impulsively and using your strong sense of self worth to justify harmful actions. To work with the shadow, lean into Saturn in Aries — let Saturn slow you down and be strategic with your intuition rather than impulsive.
3rd house – your communication style is going through a rebirth. You are becoming more assertive in your communication, more direct, clear, and to the point. You no longer are holding back your thoughts, your speaking more as you think. The anger that was built up by biting your tongue and holding it in is likely coming out through your words. The shadow of this is obvious, you may be quick to speak your mind in a negative way. Saying things that come out hurtful and unnecessarily angry. To balance this, lean into the Saturn in Aries energy — let Saturn give you the lessons to strengthen and mature your mind and speech. Harnessing the power and energy in a harmonious direction.
4th house – your home life and connection to roots (family). Your comfort zone. It is getting disrupted and you are learning you need to take control of your living situation. You take direction in the household and with family members. No more putting up with shit, your over it.. and this may cause friction in the household. The shadow is becoming hostile to those around you with our direct energy. Saturn is going to bring challenges over the next couple years to this area but it is going to make lasting and empowered changes.
5th house – children, passions, creativity, and romance. You are going after what you want! Becoming the leader in all things creative. Maybe becoming a parent! Shadow side of this could be becoming narcissistic and overly self focussed. Focussing on only what makes you passionate but not being open to what others want. You are going to become very consistent in your creative projects over the next couple of years — channel this intense passion and energy into that project.
6th house – your routine, work, and health are going through a rebirth. You are taking initiative of your health now, exercising more, eating more healthy. You likely have got a new job or are learning something new within your job. This is changing your routine and your taking charge of changing your daily routines. Shadow side of this is being irresponsible and impulsive with work, routine, or diet.. in other words overdoing it. With Saturn moving through this sign over the next couple of years your getting a stick to the ass in teaching you consistency and longevity with your routine, work, and health.
7th house – your 1:1 relationships, long term partnerships, business partnerships. A rebirth in your close relationship. Either you have the courage to leave something you have been wanting to leave OR (and more likely) you are in a new and fresh cycle of our relationship. It has taken direction again and wants to move forward together. If single, you are becoming very clear about what sort of partner you want and are actively seeking it. A new chapter is coming in this area. Shadow could be becoming aggressive in your relationship or deal with more arguments (if you are not standing in your own self worth). With Saturn moving through over the next couple year, your relationship maturity will be tested. The longevity component of the relationship will go through trials and errors to test the strength. These challenges are Saturns way of strengthening and maturing your relationship so that it can last and be marriage or life partner material. Some may even get married during this time, or, have their first child to mature the relationship.
8th house – intimacy, joint finances, psychological rebirth, shadow side, sexuality, facing lifes taboos. You are becoming brave and jumping right into your shadow side. You are about to go through all that you have repressed and sift through it. You will be battling your demons and overcoming them. You may have an even stronger sex drive. You may be receiving money from someone else or a financial institution. If that is the case, be sure to lean into Saturn to channel that into something that will benefit you in the long term.
9th house – higher education, travel, spiritual journey, teaching. You have a new found educational passion and your about to go on a journey with it. You will be diving into the books, wanting to understand the bigger picture of things, and possible wanting to take an impulsive trip abroad somewhere to experience something foreign. Maybe your taking the leap and about to teach. The shadow to this is being a classic “spiritual or know it all narcissist”. Yes your belief system is going through a rebirth, and no not everybody needs to know about it. Over the next couple years your belief system will be going through a test and what is true will be what stays.
10th house – public identity and career. You have shifted careers or you have taken on something entirely new within your career. You are emerging into the world as someone new, bold and confident. You are taking charge in the workplace and are likely becoming more of a born to be leader. Suddenly everyone is noticing you. The shadow side is your becoming overly aggressive or domineering in the work place. Don’t create unnecessary power struggles, yes Karen may suck at her job, but no she doesn’t need to be yelled at for it even though you think she does. Saturn will be asking you to use your power to bring long term benefits to your career or workplace. Channel that fire respectively and you will be fine.
11th house – future visions, friendships, community, activism, technology – you are becoming the leader of your community or friend group. Take action on something that you feel is needing to be fought for. You are connecting with so many people and have so much passion towards your visionary future. You will be networking and those networks will also be tested over the next couple of years. You are creating a future that lasts rather than jumping from friend to friend or community to community. You are bringing everyones fire together. Shadow side could be becoming too overly domineering in your friend group of community groups. Make sure your vision fits the group not just you.
12th house– isolated places, mental health, dreams/intuition – you may feel foggy in your identity, while everyone else is moving forward and charging into new timelines, you feel left out from that. Your identity seems to be dissolving. Your experiencing bad karma and it is hard on the psyche. Everything that isn’t needed in your life is dropping. You are going on a journey over the next couple years of being in the cocoon phase. Nothing from the outside can make you feel complete and your forced to find that within. You may physically be forced into an isolated place so that no outside distractions can get to you. You may feel lonely, but that loneliness is likely in your head. You just don’t have an identity anymore and all you have is a fire burning in you with nowhere to go. Your best luck during this time comes from spiritual practise, don’t force an answer or outcome, just become comfortable going within. You are preparing yourself for your next cycle.
