Jupiter moves into Leo

Today, something fantastical happened. Jupiter has moved into the sign of Leo, after moving through emotional and nostalgic comfort seeking Cancer for the entirety of last year. Jupiter first moved into Cancer on June 2nd 2025, moving quite quickly through the sign, but going retrograde for 4 months — which kept it in the sign of Cancer for roughly a little over a year.

As I reflect on the previous year, a lot of the feelings I get and the feedback I have received around this transit, was that of emotional overload. Many of those who follow astrology were quite disappointed with this transit, as Jupiter is meant to be exalted in Cancer (meaning it works harmoniously within the sign). However, mid 2025-mid 2026 has been incredibly rough and hard to navigate for many, especially on the emotional side of things (which is Cancer ruled). This may be a transit that we later look back on and saw how it actually did pave the way towards our most benefic future, even if it didn’t feel like it in the moment. Only time can tell on that.

Jupiter in Leo – May 10, 2022 until May 16, 2023

Lets go a little further back, because Jupiter has been making quite a difference in the background since it moved into Aries in 2022. As many astrologers, including myself, were very focussed on the outer planets getting ready to make their major transits into new signs after their long cycles, Jupiter has been creating a bit of a storyline that has been contributing. When Jupiter entered Aries on May 10, 2022 through until May 16, 2023, the world was no longer being compliant to the restrictions and mandates that were being set in place over the past 2 years! In true Aries fashion, people turned into their own inner warrior — fighting for what they believed in. Those who felt hurt by family members or their communities weren’t holding back anymore, and many severed ties due to the fight between being a “pro-vaccine” or “anti-vaccine” person. No longer were the people controllable, as they may have been when Jupiter was moving through complacent and empathetic Pisces. Jupiter expands the energy of whatever sign it is moving through, and in Aries, that means war-like energy. People no longer cared about “group think”, they thought about their individual rights and freedom. Aries can not be placed in a cage, it must be free to express itself freely. It was also during this time, that independent and alternative podcasts/media began blowing up online. Many podcasters created names for themselves over the past couple years due to people being trapped inside and glued to their computers to see what is going on. People were no longer afraid to speak their minds and frustrations — and alternative/independent podcasters began speaking out on controversial topics like LGBTQ rights, gender wars, immigration issues, World Economic Forum, left vs right governments, and ect. Something to also note, was that religion was making a comeback (mainly Christianity), and many religious people were venting their frustrations over how they have felt ridiculed over the last decade. I bring that last topic up as Jupiter rules religion in astrology. While Jupiter went retrograde that year, moving back into Pisces and then back into Aries, we saw the attempt by the government to attempt control with vaccine passports and refusal of work and denial of recreational activities for those without proof of Vaccination. Once Jupiter moved back into Aries, we saw the protests from the summer come back full throttle, which eventually turned into the famous “Trucker Convoy” protest that eventually ended these mandates and sort of paved the way for other countries to follow suit. This period of time really set in place a new chapter of humanity. One where the people came together to fight back for their freedom in true Aries warrior fashion. It also started a new 12 year cycle of the zodiac — where we entered new territory regarding the evolution of the planet Jupiter.

Jupiter in Taurus – May 16, 2023 until May 25, 2024

We then move into the next cycle of this journey into Taurus, where Jupiter moved into from May 16, 2023 to May 25, 2024. Almost instantly when this transit happened, The World Health Organization declared that COVID-19 was no longer a global public health emergency. Taurus, ruled by the planet Venus, who represents harmony in relationships. Taurus, also represents finances/economies, the food system, the earth, and the body. This is when the energy started shifting from the talk of health and vaccines, and into one of environmental regulations. We started seeing the rise of the conservative government talking about the economical pit that many countries put themselves in throughout COVID and discussing the detrimental environmental policies that were hurting farmers, the oil/gas industry, and forestry. The prices of gas, groceries, lumbar, and interest rates all went up majorly during this time. There was also the rise of the topic of abortion taking place, with the previous years overturning of the rogue vs wade, as Taurus represents the female body. As Taurus rules the financial system, we also saw a huge rise in people investing more and more into crypto currency. During this time, the US approved Bitcoin ETFs, and Bitcoin hit new all-time highs — making this a literal expansion of digital “gold” (Taurus asset).

Jupiter in Gemini – May 25, 2024 until June 9, 2025

Moving on to Jupiter moving into Gemini from May 25, 2024 to June 9th, 2025. This was the ultimate year of INFORMATION OVERLOAD. Again, Jupiter expands everything it touches in the zodiac, and it was also in its detriment in this sign (meaning it is in the sign directly opposite the sign it rules, as Jupiter rules Sagittarius). This means it does not work well, at all. Where Gemini is all about receiving and communicating information, Jupiter is the planet that can never have enough— it is always seeking more meaning. With this combination, we had so much information getting released within one year that it likely put everyones nervous system on overload. We had disclosures after disclosures, we had misinformation meshed in with true information, we had “conspiracy” after “conspiracy” deemed out to actually have been true. This was also the first election in history that relied on podcasters to bring information to the people and provide the interviews for the candidates. Mainstream news was being quickly replaced that year by online streamers and freeform podcasters that provided content that felt more authentic and real to the viewers due to their unscripted nature as compared to scripted news stations. We had information hubs like “X” explode during this time, where the people were quicker to see lies and falsities spoken by the electoral candidates, like nothing we have seen before. Of course, because Gemini is known as the “trickster” sign, there were also a lot of false truths floating around — this made it very hard to actually understand what is truly going on. This was the major year for the American election, so in true Gemini fashion, we saw debates take place within that period, but also in Canada amongst Pierre vs Trudeau in the house of commons. Everyone was talking politics at this time — and I believe this is when the real true split began to happen (as Gemini is the sign of the twins). Left vs right became unbearable, and both sides went to ultimate extremes to prove that “their side” was right. Gemini rules the nervous system in medical astrology, and with Jupiter expanding this sign in overdrive, many people burnt out this year. There was just too much information for our nervous systems to compute and regulate.

Jupiter in Cancer – June 9th, 2025 until June 30th, 2026 (today)

Now we move more into recent times, where Jupiter moved through Cancer from June 9th, 2025 to June 30th, 2026 (today). This cycle completely shifted the energy from information overload, to emotional overload. The amount of people that struggled emotionally during this time (myself included), is impalpable. As I mentioned above, Jupiter is meant to be exalted in Cancer, which is meant to make it work harmoniously in the sign. Perhaps this was disrupted by all the outer planets making their extreme transits and aspects to each other, and the current times we are in. However, I believe it was a time meant for us to sit with everything we learned about the world in a short time span of a year — and to digest it all emotionally. Many people were exhausted with the information, and it just felt like one thing after another that triggered our emotions. From the shooting of Charlie Kirk that happened live over the internet for all to see, the high emotions from Donald Trump releasing ICE on the illegal immigrants in the States, to Israel demolishing Palestine and going to war with Iran, to the mass majority of people finally waking up to how big the network of child trafficking really is. Jupiter expanded our emotions on all of that. Something I talk about a lot, is that those who run the world, they use astrology for everything. If you deep dive into Freemasonry, they study the occult like you wouldn’t imagine. They have the money to pay for the best astrologers to guide them in the world. When those in power need distractions for what they want to implement and put in place, they need the mass majority of the world to be in emotional free-fall. It creates chaos, and it creates fear/victimhood. Jupiter moving through Cancer is the perfect opportunity to create as much hardships and emotionally devastating events as possible to destabilize the people. There were two ways to experience this transit, and the ones that did the latter, will be the ones that will lead the way into this upcoming Jupiter in Leo transit. The first, are those who succumbed to the emotional events. The ones that kept tuning in, kept re-traumatizing themselves over and over by watching their content and acting out emotionally to every event. Then, there are the ones that turned it all off. They went inward in true Cancer fashion, feeling everything that needed to be felt for years. All the overwhelm and internal/external changes that they went through since 2019, they sat with it and reconnected to themselves and their deepest most needs during this time. They came back into contact with their intuition, so that they can actually discern what the truths are from the fallacies that they learned from the Jupiter in Gemini transit. They had to sit with where they feel most at home, how to make their home as comfortable and safe as possible — so that they have a secure base to build from and a safe place to feel what they need to feel. They dove into their past, and had to move through emotions that they have ignored for years. Their body took them out of autopilot and dissociation from the chaos of the past 5 years and into their deepest emotions. These will be the people that emerge with fire over the next year with this upcoming transit.

Jupiter in Leo from June 30th, 2026 until July 26, 2027

Finally, cue Jupiter moving into Leo. This is going to be the necessary shit show that we all need to move forward. Leo is the sign of the ego, the passionate and bold creative fire sign — that is also stubborn as hell. Leo isn’t afraid to be bold and courageous, Leo is the lion hearted. Leo is the hero of the story, the one that gets sent on its hero journey, descends into its own fears and misery in order to overcome and defeat them.

There will be many ways in which this will play out, but overall I see two major themes. First theme, those that allowed themselves to get caught up in the emotional chaos of the outward world last year, rather than disconnecting and going inward, will go into ego overdrive. Leo in its shadow, is dramatic, egotistical, self centred, loud, and attention seeking. We will see many people fall into this trap, and it will eventually lead to their ego death. With Leo making an opposition to Pluto for this entire month, expect the drama to unfold everywhere around you. People will be in their ego personas, and will likely be faced with their own descent into the underworld — which will make them scream while they go through it. I have honestly already been seeing this take place with Jupiter approaching Leo the past 2 weeks. The know-it-alls are out in full throttle, and it is only going to get messier. Best to approach these people, with understanding that they are coming into contact with their own shadows and own projections.

Second theme, those that emotionally connected with their shadows and most vulnerable selves during the Jupiter in Cancer transit, will finally feel like they can express themselves and move back out into the world. They got humbled. Where they may have been acting from an egotistical place before, that transit made them see the hypocrisy and lies that they took as truth. They cried out so many demons that year, that they will be the ones to be acting from the “strength tarot card” position. They have tamed their own lion, so that they aren’t attacking for nonsensical reasons. They will bring the passion, creativity, and heart centred love that Leo is known to provide. They will be the Sun against the rainy storms that have taken over our world. This transit experienced in this way, can bring the most fulfilling year to those that lean into the creative aspects of this energy. Where things felt incredibly heavy, they will now feel more playful, light, and hopeful. More time and energy will be spent on creative endeavours, enjoying what life has to offer, and bringing out the inner playful child in you. This can be a year of many babies becoming conceived during this time, as Leo rules children and Jupiter transits are very known to bring pregnancy when in this sign.. especially, if it is going through your 5th house or making aspect to your natal moon.

Themes we may see this year? Jupiter will be opposing Pluto in Aquarius for the first month of this transit. This means the dramatic ego of Leo will be inflated, but making an opposition to the transformations that are happening within society. People are over celebrity culture, they are over narcissistic personalities and leaders, they are wanting authenticity, realness, and collective movements. This will likely be a year where Hollywood tries to make a comeback, but it will do so in different ways. I have said this on other posts, but I do believe Hollywood as we know it is over. The new Hollywood is the internet, social media, content creators, and even AI. Jupiter in Leo will likely bring immense creativity to the people, which will make those who create authentic content, art, movies, music, and podcasts become even more bold and courageous with their work. Many people will have access to their “inner celebrity” and have the confidence to shine where they want to shine. I believe we will see Hollywood celebrities more in podcasts (which we have been seeing), trying to fit into this new authentic culture that is being created. Those who have not been authentic, will likely fall into the shadow of Leo, and it may be their fall  — with the last cries from their ego being dramatic and cringe worthy. Honestly, I will be bringing the popcorn to whatever this period brings in that realm lol! Those who have Leo strong in their charts, will be very well known this year (whether you like it or not). Donald Trump, he has a Leo rising. Joe Rogan is a Leo. JK Rowling is a Leo, so is Barack Obama, Danielle Radcliffe (who I have been seeing pushed all over the algorithms), Jennifer Lopez, Arnold Swarzenegger, Christopher Nolan. Charlize Theron (who is making a comeback with some movies), Jennifer Lawrence, there are so many. I guarantee, that these people will be in the spotlight in some sort of manner (be it good or bad, depending on how in tune they are with their own egos).

I for one am extremely grateful I have survived the Jupiter in Cancer transit, that moved over my south node and opposed my Capricorn stellium. I will be in for another interesting transit with Jupiter moving over my natal Chiron, and opposing my Aquarius stellium, but at least it is in a more expressive sign that promotes exterior creativity. Congratulations to all of those who also survived the Jupiter in Cancer transit, and are hopefully more in tune with themselves — even though we don’t quite yet know where we’re are going. Now make sure to make a lot of popcorn this month, because there is A LOT going on in the sky than just this transit, and this transit will make things very dramatic and funny to watch (if your into that sort of thing lol).

The story of Jupiter continues, moving from rebirthing ourselves to expressing ourselves and our new relationship to our ego.
