Tomorrow, Mars and Pluto oppose each other— while at the same time, Venus goes retrograde. What does this mean — and how is it going to show up in our macro world AND microworld?
To understand, it is best to look at the cycles we have been moving through and what has been happening around us simultaneously.
Pluto in Aquarius
Pluto has been moving through Aquarius since the end of 2024 — and politically we can’t ignore that time period, because that is when Donald Trump became president for the 2nd time. I personally have been getting quite annoyed about politics, however, it is totally relevant in terms of the astrology of the times. That wasn’t the first time Pluto entered Aquarius in that time period, but it entered briefly in and out from early 2023, then early 2024, and then finally stationed fully end of 2024.
We know there has been an uprising and awakening of the people. Even those who have been quite asleep to it all, are able to agree of basic truths that beforehand would have been brushed off or labeled “crazy”. We know our world is run by the 1%, we know that there is more out in space then what is led on, we know our food is being poisoned while nutritious food is harder to get; I mean the list goes on. Technology is forcing the truth upon the people, while also making it impossible to remain hidden.
Pluto, which represents the underworld, the taboo side of society, the deep dark secrets we hide from the world, our dark side or shadow side, our taboo sexual desires, deaths and transformational rebirth, and succumbing to absolute surrender to change. Which only changes signs every 20 some odd years — defining generations. Moving through Aquarius, the Promethean sign of evolution, a new world/collective, the progressive, the sign of the people and communities, the sign of technology, space travel, and aliens.
It is this merging of energies that we see a new age of humanity being born. A collective being formed. A community that actually focuses on the betterment of each other. One where we all realize we must come together to evolve. One that defies the old rules and traditions and moves towards something quirky, authentic, and independent.
In order to become the new, we must understand fully what destroyed the old. What scum of the earth became responsible for the unjust society that became of that. Technology is a part of the process of understanding, while also destroying the world we once knew and the way we relate to each other. It is terrifying, as a Pluto descent always is. However, it is also transformational.
Mars in Leo
Mars just moved into Leo, literally for about a week. Mars changing signs every 2 months, and when it is moving through, it is the planet that pushes, charges, fights, and takes action in. For the past 2 months, it was moving through Cancer.
The sign Cancer has been prominent for a little over a year. Having had the expansive Jupiter move through the sign of the mother, the roots, our foundation, our past, and our emotional security. Mars was simply finishing a long needed chapter of those themes and giving us the strength to do what we needed to create our solid emotional security and foundation.
Now, with it in Leo. We feel a major shift out of our emotional insecurities and more into our confident abilities. We have a little more fire under our arse to express ourselves, create, love, and show off. We feel more connected to our inner Childs creative expression, rather than our past emotional ties.
Leo, the sign of the Lion, the actor, the passionate artist, the hero, the masculine lover, and those prominent in society (Hollywood, royalty, and world leaders).
This planet in this sign works extremely well, almost too well. However, sometimes too much of a good thing can be a bad time. That is the caution with this transit, which will last for much longer and into May 2026 with the Leo/Virgo retrograde it will go through. During this time, expect extravagant, over the top, over-cocky behaviour, and the ultra masculine hero archetype to play out in society and within your personal lives. When channeling the Leo archetype with the planet of war and masculinity (Mars), it can be an incredibly forward moving and creatively expressive time. But it could also be a time of high egos, power struggles, over-confidence, hubris, burn out energy, and narcissism.
One main thing I will list, due to the recent events online, is that is can be a time of masculine energy protecting children. As Leo is the main sign in the zodiac that represents children and the energy of children.
Pluto Mars Opposition
An opposition in astrology is when two planets are in opposing signs and in opposing degrees. In this case, Pluto will be at 3 degrees in Aquarius (while retrograde) and Mars will be at 3 degrees Leo. Anything that is at 3 degrees inn your own personal chart will be highlighted majorly and be significant for you.
These two opposing with the context I gave above, will be a major power struggle between the ultra masculine hero archetype and the emerging dark and authentic truths of the collective. The shiny powers that we worship opposing the uprising authentic power of the collective. And don’t forget this all takes place through technology, through conversation of space, aliens, and the metaphysical world we are realizing is real.
Pluto has to do with death or anything that cuts and renews. It also has a lot to do with fated events that turn into generational trauma or inheriting. Mars, especially in medical astrology, has a lot to do with sudden/violent accidents. Very common for vehicle accidents (so please be careful driving tomorrow). On a macro scale, we can see this as violent, fated, and/or dark events. It is a power of two different style of wills. One of overt and one of covert power.
Expect a major event to take place tomorrow that we have been seeing build under the surface.
What makes the current events more interesting, is what Venus is doing.
The Venusian Journey
Venus has started a journey from around the end of August and will finish it up almost into the New Year. Venus moving through its home sign of Libra makes it incredibly strong, while also bringing major themes of rebalancing our desires, finances, and relationships. It is also the sign that represents law and justice. It determines what is fair. It moved into Scorpio on Sept 10th, which brought the feminine and Venusian planet into the depths of the underworld. We are seeing themes of the dark feminine archetype emerge into the world around us. Themes of rape, psychosis, murder, and female sexual taboo are becoming topics of discussion around us.
Simultaneously, we may be trying to sort out our debts, or, planning on how to get a loan. Conversations about inheritance may be happening right now. Venus rules our finances or how we make our income, while Scorpio represents money from others (banks, inheritance, tax returns, ect).
Venus stations retrograde tomorrow (Oct 3rd), the same day Mars opposes Pluto. While we just went through the themes of each cycle, we can start to zoom further out and start to see the bigger picture. Narcissistic control and reaches of power against a transforming collective future. The ego vs the people. The individual vs the transforming human kind.
Summary
Where do we find our place in this all? Who is the individual anymore? Everything is merging, and the individual ego is either screaming for one last shout or grasping for air. The masculine is divided from the feminine. Love is being confused with revenge or obsession. The perfect bottle of fizzy soda that is about to explode.
We have major elections coming up, and even elections that weren’t meant to be had are being proposed during this time. Now, we can either succumb to this energy and join into the chaos and divide that it is bringing, or, we can understand what is happening and meet it with wisdom and a laugh. Understand that this is a new birth of earth and an awakening that is beyond our own comprehension. That the world we know is never going to be the same again, but we don’t actually know where it is heading. We can have some sort of understanding, but this is so beyond our human compression of evolution.
Expect the energy tomorrow, expect to be feeling combative, energized, or aggravated. But if you really lean into it, you will likely feel the transformational energy that is currently taking place.
