Aries Season — Quentin Tarantino

Aries Season

Aries is the first sign of the zodiac that is represented by “the ram” — naturally butting heads in constant battles with others. It is a fire sign, however it is untamed fire — rather than the other two fire signs Leo and Sagittarius. Aries is a “cardinal” sign”, which means it is an initiator sign; this means it easily takes charge and the lead. As it is the first sign of the zodiac, this meant it is the “baby” of the zodiac, while also being the more honest in its’ form. You very much get what you get with an Aries, similar to a young child, they don’t hold back their emotions and what they want to say. This sign is also associated with the head in medical astrology, and it is funny as this sign really doesn’t “think before they speak”. But also like a child, when they are angry, you will know! This sign is very upbeat and enthusiastic, but as soon as you disrupt them (and normally it is for good reason), their anger will be a FORCE. However, they are very quick to move on from it, which naturally leaves the other person left thinking “what the hell just happened?”. They are natural born leaders, the first of your friends to initiate anything. If you were to travel with them, they would be the ones in the drivers seat taking charge when others are putsing around all lost. If an Aries meets another Aries, they almost always get on with each other — and they will commonly say they are the best sign. As this sign is associated with the 1st house (house of the self) in an Astrology Chart, it is common for this sign to have selfish tendencies, not because they are conscious of them, but more because of that child-like tendency. They do balance this with being extremely caring and protective of their loved ones/friends. Aries is the friend you call when you need someone to show up fast and be there, however, they may also be the first one to leave a group setting as well!
It has two main God associations (although there are others from different cultures), the Greek one being “Ares” (the god of war who enjoys bloodshed) and the Roman one being “Mars” (another god of war but more for political protection). Ares shows more of the destructive side of Aries, the God who enjoys violence and bloodshed for chaos sake. He is associated with the younger (or un-evolved) version of Aries. Mars is known as being the older (or evolved) version of Aries. He is more of the military protective God who fights for the sake of peace.
Those who are Aries will more often than not have a very large head lol! Specifically their forehead. In men, when they get angry, their can sometimes look like a vein on their forehead that enlarges. This is because this sign rules the head in medical astrology (as well as the blood and adrenals (your cortisol regulator)). Because Aries has a “go all in” energy to them, they exert all their energy too quickly — naturally leaving them to burn out. Burn out is something many Aries deal with off and on due to this reason. Nourishing the adrenals is very important for an Aries, as well as rigorous exercise to keep the blood moving. Mars has a lot to do with the libido (a Mars ruled area in medical astrology). It is a highly sexual sign, that needs constant release. Many people with heavy Aries placements are the friends who never shut up about sex and constantly making sex jokes.

Who is he?

Quentin Tarantino was born on March 27, 1963, in Knoxville, Tennessee. His father, actor Tory Tarantino, left the family before he was born. He grew up in California from age 4 and loved watching John Wayne movies. His mother said he always loved storytelling and would read him bizarre stories. “He’d always kill me and tell me how bad he felt about it.”
He hated school and dropped out of high school to become a movie Usher at an adult film theatre. He eventually started taking acting classes, getting film jobs, and meeting other directors to bounce ideas off and writing scripts. He started acting and writing on screenplays and began getting acting appearances in movies.
His first directed film was “Reservoir Dogs”, where he also wrote the screenplay. This movie which was about 6 criminals who carry out a robbery, was announced as an “ultra-violent crime caper gone wrong”. His next film was the Oscar winner “Pulp Fiction”, where he ultra-weaved different storylines which all dealt with some sort of crime theme but carried a trendy and hip twist and a killer soundtrack.
According to one biography, he was very much known for his temper. In his film Natural Born Killers, he slapped one of the producers at a restaurant for changing parts of his script.
One of his films “Kill Bill” takes a martial arts theme (very Aries ruled). His other major films include “Inglorious Bastards”, Oscar winning “Django Unchained”, and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood”. Each of these movies have to do with crime, violence, or war.
Apparently he knew about the Harvey Weinstein incidents or behaviour in Hollywood, he has said he wished he did more to stop it. Some people say he himself is “misogynistic” (however that term gets thrown around far too easily these days so I will see if anything comes through in the chart). However, there are points to be made where “Tarantino has defended his work by arguing that in a violent world, he does not treat women differently from men—everyone is subject to brutality. He argues that excluding women from this violence would be sexist, citing The Hateful Eight as an example.” and that he gives very strong female lead roles in his films.

His Chart

Because we don’t know his birth time, we are going off of just his planetary placements/personality energy. His Sun is conjunct Mercury in Aries (and conjunct Jupiter in Pisces). This makes a trine (harmonious energy) to his natal Mars in Leo, and makes an inconjunct (awkward energy) to his natal Uranus in Virgo. This mean his Sun sign of vitality is infused with all these energies. The Sun/Mercury conjunction in Aries makes him extremely bold, loud, and expressive in his communication with others and likely makes him have quite a violent mind. With that trine to Mars (Aries ruling planet) in a fire sign of Leo, it expresses that to be even bigger and bolder. This man is not afraid of doing what he wants, taking action, and expressing his dramatic and personality outward. Because Jupiter in Pisces is also conjunct (although out of sign), this means he is likely always in a fantasy world in his own mind. His growth is through expressing himself through the collective. Jupiter is the planet of growth and expansion and represents the gifts you can offer the world– with it being in Pisces, this is the classic “director” indicator. As Pisces loves being behind the scenes and is associated with fantasy world of film. However, because his placements are bold and violent, it is clear why those themes come through his art and films. With that trine to Mars in Leo, this makes sense why he also makes direct appearances in his film as Leo is the sign of the “theatrical actor”. With the inconjunct to Uranus in Virgo, this may show that his directive process may be quite scattered to others but organized to him. He may have perfectionistic tendencies with his film and a certain way of doing things that he needs to have control over, but to others this may look like he is just winging it or going all over the place. All these placements together show someone who is incredibly driven and meant to showcase their pioneering vision to the collective through the form of art.

Getting into more of his challenging aspects, his Moon is in Taurus and opposing Neptune in Scorpio. His inner world craves stability and grounding, but struggles with a foggy pull towards the chaotic underworld. He may commonly escape into the world of darkness (his horror films) to escape unwanted emotions or when dealing with unwanted change. Because Neptune is very illusionary, he may think that forces are darker than they are around him at times. Because the Moon represents the mother in astrology, this makes me think back to how his mom said he would write stories about killing his mother (Scorpio represents death), and then feeling bad about it after. It is as if his inner world has a fascination with the illusionary affects of death and may use his writing or art as an expression of this dark energy within him. His Moon actually makes a T-Square (hard and challenging aspect) with this Neptune in Scorpio placement and his Mars in Leo placement. This is a fixed T-Square, meaning all these planets are in a fixed sign — making this square more intense because fixed signs do not like change, but a change is needed to integrate square aspects. Moon square Mars sort of shows me that he may have some anger towards his mother, or that his mother had a temper. I feel he didn’t know how else to express this then to write those bizarre stories as a child. This also shows that he himself struggles with anger, a dark anger, that likely builds up inside him and explodes at times. It may be directed to his confidence, like when he feels attacked on his character he gets angry. This would make sense with the stories of him getting angry at previous cast members for overstepping his creative process. Again I do think a lot of this has to do with when his stability is thrown off, as a Moon in Taurus craves stability and peace, but Mars is anything but peace, and Neptune adds in illusion and confusion. His Moon also makes a trine to Pluto in Virgo
